Breaking the diet

Well, one of two things has happened.  I am either incredibly sensitive to tomatoes in a way that I have never ever noted in my past OR I have the flu.  Being that it's flu season in Guatemala and pretty much everyone I know has had it, I'm going with the second option.  Now, this doesn't mean I'm going crazy and eating everything that I haven't yet tested; it simply means that growing up as a kid mom always gave us ginger ale and soda crackers.  (Yes, you already see where this is going.)  It's pretty much impossible to get your hands on any kind of ginger ale (or ginger soda) around here, and, well, I'm out of fresh ginger which won't be back in the stores until December.  (I found someone today who will sell it to me for Q15 for a tiny piece.  I'm thinking I'll see what it costs at the farm IF I can get out there.)  So, that leaves me with clear liquids (okay, I'm actually sticking with water on that one now that my body doesn't reject it on a psychological basis) and soda crackers.  In case you didn't catch it already, soda crackers have gluten; I haven't tested gluten yet.  It was planned for Sunday.  And it wouldn't be as big of a deal if I hadn't added tomatoes in yesterday.  We could just pretend that I had changed my plan to make gluten the next thing.  Well, it is what it is.  I'll probably have to go back to the elimination diet for a week or something after this to properly test things again.
